Ok, so things petered out there in January. I gained no weight. I joined Weight Watchers (online), again. I lost no weight. Granted, after paying for 3 months, I proceeded to not follow the plan whatsoever. Finally, while drinking wine on my friend's deck, I began to reminisce about when we used to get up at the crack of dawn to jog. This was just last fall, or maybe the fall of 2006??? Anyway, she said we should start again, but walking - her knees hurt. We started that next day.
We live in a very hilly neighborhood. Very, very hilly. My girlfriend Eileen is nervous even driving here (she's a city girl). My legs were KILLING me that first day. That first week I skipped a day on account of rain. Karen went, and her husband mocked me.
We're now in week 3. Tomorrow is Karen's birthday, so I suggested that we take the day off. She agreed, but we'll be back on Thursday. I swear.
I may even log onto WW tomorrow...

Good for you! I have been jogging (somewhat)..I get killer shin pains, if the surface is too hard. What I need to do, is begin a diet!
